I am so excited about this! I think we will see a few new manufacturers in IMSA for 2022. Ford for sure.
Also, I can’t wait to see Penske/Acura at Le Mans. I’m assuming Penske will want to be there.

Porsche, Lamborghini, Ford, Cadillac

All good bets. I’m sure Cadillac will stay. DPi seems to suit them well.

I wonder how many Le Mans entries will be available for IMSA teams.

They already give automatic entries to IMSA champions from the previous year. That’s the same level of entry support you get coming from any sports car series. If they haven’t earned an automatic entry they are just as eligible for the 40 or so open spots as anyone else is.

Good info. Thanks.
I know that Le Mans has been at capacity. I guess I’m just a little concerned that some manufacturers that really want to be there might get turned away just because of the number of teams trying to get in. All part of the game I suppose.

Well LMP2 entrants will probably drop a bit if they can get customer LMDh’s

Manufacturers will have little difficulty getting into Le Mans, they bring a ton of interest and attention to the event. The ACO will turn away a privateer one off entry before they turn away a manufacturer.
